First Research Introduces “Build My Profile” and Other Enhancements

Customer Driven Enhancements Improve Usability of Leading Industry Intelligence Tools

Raleigh, NC – June 14, 2005 – First Research Inc., the leading industry intelligence company, announced today the introduction of “Build My Profile,” the latest enhancement to its leading industry intelligence tools. “Build My Profile” is now available to all First Research subscribers and is just one in a series of enhancements based on feedback from more than 40,000 users.

First Research arms sales teams with the industry intelligence needed to successfully engage sales prospects. Industry Profiles, First Research’s core product, provide the information sales professionals need to quickly learn about a target industry. Covering over 170 industries, each Profile is updated quarterly and highlights critical industry trends, challenges and opportunities. In addition to Industry Profiles, annual subscribers also receive Call Prep Sheets - one-page overviews of each industry including the opportunity rating, top three key business challenges and opportunities as well as fast facts. Email Alerts with the most recent updates on selected industries are also delivered directly to subscribers.

The “Build My Profile” link is now featured at the top of each industry profile, allowing users to:


  • Customize the layout of all Industry Profiles to meet their specific needs

  • Change the order of the Chapters, so you can view your most important items first

  • Remove unneeded or unused Chapters to focus on the content most relevant to them

  • Save their settings so the view is always the same or return to First Research default settings
