The Canadian accounting services industry includes more than 27,000 establishments with total annual revenue of over $10 billion. The industry is characterized by a large number of small firms, but dominated by the large public accounting firms such as Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and KPMG. The largest 20 accounting firms have about 50 percent of the market. Most firms have revenue under $1 million.
