The Canadian accounting services industry includes more than 31,000 establishments with total annual revenue of about $13 billion. The industry is characterized by a large number of small firms, but dominated by the large public accounting firms such as Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and KPMG. The largest 20 accounting firms have about 50 percent of the market. Most firms have revenue under $1 million.
