Executive search and recruitment firms, sometimes called executive headhunters, work on behalf of other companies and organizations to fill high-level jobs by identifying, qualifying, and presenting potential job candidates. The US executive search and recruitment industry is fragmented and highly competitive: the top eight firms account for less than 5 percent of total revenue. Many executive search firms have multiple locations in key cities around the US, and most large firms also have an international presence.
