Canadian Focus: Hospitals Industry Focus

About 600 hospitals operate in Canada with combined annual revenue of about $45 billion. Most Canadian hospitals are nonprofit and operated by a municipality, university, religious, or health organization; about 2 percent are federally owned or private. Canada’s hospitals and healthcare organizations include Capital Health (regional); Providence Health Care (religious); and the London Health Sciences Center (teaching hospital).
